FM-Funknetz: The German amateur network of linked analog FM stations that this application joins. Avoid: using that name for this application
Station: This application’s presence on a reflector, named by a callsign. It has no radio of its own. Avoid: node, client, channel, hotspot
Reflector: The conference that forwards audio among stations that have joined the same talk group. One talk group has at most one talker. Avoid: server, bridge
Talk group: A numbered audio room on the reflector. The station joins one talk group for the whole run. Avoid: channel, room
Talker: The station currently sending audio on a talk group. Avoid: transmitter
Callsign: The uppercase amateur call sign that names this station on the reflector. Avoid: a lowercase spelling, username, node id

Certificate: An X.509 certificate whose common name is this station’s callsign. It proves the station on protocol 3.0. Avoid: auth key, a PEM pasted into the config file
Certificate directory: The directory the station config names. It holds the CA bundle and this station’s key and certificate. Avoid: PEM text inside the config file
CA bundle: The reflector’s certificate authority, kept in the certificate directory. Protocol 3.0 uses it to check the reflector. Avoid: the station certificate
Protocol: The reflector session this station is speaking: 2.0 or 3.0. Avoid: TYPE, a config field the operator sets
Push-to-talk: The operator holding the control that makes this station the talker. Releasing it returns the station to listening. Avoid: voice-operated transmit, a mute toggle
